Marlette II

This is a cute little Townhouse. 2 bedroom 2 bathroom with very closed in and defined rooms. The first thing that we did with this property is taking the wall down in the kitchen to open up the space. The second thing we did was make all of the flooring the same. When you take the different types of flooring out and make them the same the room definitions go away and the rooms flow together making the space feel bigger! This property had a little surprise when we removed the cabinets. In the corner of the kitchen we found a 20 gallon water heater That was for both bedrooms and the bathroom. When the water heater goes out, the cabinets needed to be removed to change it. And what family can cope with only 20 gallons of hot water? We moved the water heater to there other side of the wall in the laundry area and were able to put a 50 gallon tank in, and you don't have to remove the cabinets to change it! Modern Marvels!!

After

The kitchen was closed off by a wall on the left where the refrigerator opening is. When opening the refrigerator, you couldn't stand in front of it without hitting the counter behind you, so the refrigerator was in the dining room!

Before

We removed the wall and moved the moved the refrigerator. Opening up the kitchen to the family room and dining room made the entire space open and totally different! Made the room feel twice as big!
